CAMPSITE THE ARDÈCHE
CAMPSITE NATURE PARC L'ARDÉCHOIS
Where time just flows along: Camping Nature Parc L'Ardéchois
Go with the flow
Peppered with colourful canoes in summer, the Ardèche provides a bright and cheerful picture. It offers exciting challenges for beginners, experienced and advanced canoeists. Boulders worn round and smooth over millennia are popular as bathing islands. In summer, children and adults alike can splash about in the gurgling rapids. Here France itself is in flux: this is where the continental climate of the massif central becomes Mediterranean, Provençal. The kitchens and the cellars profit from this. Rich in history, the region is also the scene of the rise and fall of the Huguenots. A long time before that, people occupied the caves and decorated their walls with paintings. Excursions from the campsite - in a group or individually - make the rich variety a lasting memory.
Perfectly natural
L'Ardéchois calls itself the "Camping Nature Parc" and this is something it takes seriously: rich plant life, grounds directly on the natural shore of the river, lots of excursions to the surrounding area, most of which is protected national park. But there's no shortage of comfort: Since 1984 Caty and Richard Chalvet and their friendly service team have worked tirelessly on improving what is already the best resort in the whole region. In the off-season, heated outdoor pools and sanitary facilities are standard. Baths, children's facilities and other top grade facilities blend in with the natural environment in the local architectural style of rubblestone walls and arched windows.
