03/05/2013 - Treading water at the Woferlgut
The play creek and Kneipp creek at the Woferlgut for all children and adults has been finished: wandering in the morning dew, relaxing at the creek and playing to a fare-thee-well. Already pastor Kneipp guessed, that regularly Kneippism stimulate the immune system and protect against coughs and sneezes. 17/04/2013 - Busy May at Alfsee
Already on May 1st Alfsee-Ferienpark will open the lake terraces at the boat harbour. The event will be attended by the Artländer Shanty choir „Die Hasejungs“ . The weekend around Ascension to heaven starts with the brokers' row (9th of May), on Friday from 7 p.m. onwards the „de Spassmakers“ lay on the entertainment with their cult songs and an unique show. Chief host Ati Klein gives variety with his family show for adults and younger guests. Also the Whitsun weekend will be amusing with the Shanty choir at the maritime morning pint, matie rolls will be offered by the Piazza team. For the month of May with its many feast days Südsee-Camp has arranged a various programme. On Ascension Day the younger guests may look forward to Punch. The Whitsun weekend offers something for everybody: baking bread with live music, children's disco and a variety show in the amphitheatre incl. fireworks. During a romantic weekend at Hvidbjerg Strand you can top off the wellness stay with a delicious brunch in the à la carte restaurant. Just in time on Easter the Alfsee Ferien- und Erholungspark starts into the new season with a full programme. On Saturday chief animator Ati offers an unforgettable evening with the family show „moments of happiness” (7 pm in the boathouse at the market place). The large Easter egg hunt on Sunday starts at 9 am, the evening is reserved for Easter drinks. All children are invited to the clown's show on Monday, 11 am. 22/03/2013 - Wulfener Hals wins silver at „Baltic Sea dish 2013“
On March 18th the “Dehoga cooking contest” at the Baltic Sea has been decided. The kitchen team of the restaurant “Seeblick” at Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals won a great second place with its creation cod fillet fried in horseradish with grilled leek and apple as well as potatoes wrapped in bacon. It was elected by a jury of gastronomical experts, gourmets and starred chefs. A variety of dishes from the region between Fehmarn and Timmendorfer Strand was up for election. The kitchen team of the restaurant could win gold in regional contests several times. The dish, that won this year, will be offered in the Seeblick. 17/03/2013 - Expocamp starts spring season
Between March 22nd - 24th the new caravanning season will be started. That means a lot of celebrations. On Friday from 7 pm. onwards Michael Korn and the Oldies present music of James Last and Frank Sinatra. On Saturday from 7 pm. Onwards you can dance at Italian music of the 50th, 60th and 70th. And as usual there will be the traditional camper brunch on Sunday. A bouncy castle is waiting for the younger guests. Further information: www.expocamp.de
14/03/2013 - Easter bunnies at Südsee-Camp
Just in time on Easter Sunday the Easter bunny will have hidden more than 800 Easter baskets as every year. The complete weekend a large animation programme will be in the centre of attention. Dance in the tent with children's disco and “church on the move” belong to it, certainly the huge Easter fire on Saturday with live music will be the highlight. Culinary treats are planned as well. 13/03/2013 - Camping Aufenfeld offers varied Easter holidays
The team of Camping Aufenfeld is planning exciting actions not only for the Easter Holidays, but also for the week before and afterwards. The theme park is open every day with skater track, go-kart, giant trampoline etc. On Easter Saturday the traditional Easter egg hunting will take place at the Western fort, in the evening the Easter fire will be lighted. 07/03/2013 - Sail Den Halder
Guests of Camping Tempelhof can get eyewitnesses of a great spectacle between June 20th - 23rd 2013. Hundreds of large and small ships will arrive at the harbour of Den Helder and can be marvelled until June 23rd. The windjammer, trading ships of the former VOC (United East Indian Company) as well as battleships will revive times past. On 15th February 2013 at the BIT (Borsa Internazionale del Turismo) trade fair the winners of the 1st "Green Travel Awards", a GIST award for excellence in sustainable, responsible tourism, were announced.
This prestigious award from the Italian Tourism Press Group (a specialist group from the Italian Press Federation), on the basis of recommendations from over 200 member journalists, was given this year to the best Italian tourism structures as described in the “European Charter for Sustainable and Responsible Tourism” which is currently being drawn up.
Union Lido was awarded the prize in the “Holiday Villages” category.
The jury’s reasons were as follows:
“Environmental sustainability, renewable energy, solar heating, minimum environmental impact and attention to the differently-abled are the strong points of this eco resort in Cavallino, in the Veneto lagoon, just a few kilometres from Venice, immersed in 60 hectares of greenery with a nature reserve where several animal species repopulate. The “Blue Flag” sea laps the beach at Union Lido, which offers the whole family a responsible holiday in contact with nature and with zero environmental impact thanks to the sustainable solutions adopted by the owners. It is being given this award because it is an emblem of eco-glamping: glamour camping and eco-chic in a structure that offers luxury hotel services at accessible prices”.

With lots of alterations Camping Lanterna comes up for the coming season. Not only new prestige mobile homes (with Sat TV) were built close to the swimming pool and children’s' playground, but as well 100 comfort pitches and 20 pitches for mega campers. Two of the sanitary units were renovated with different themes (light house and beach) and the Mediterranean green spaces were enlarged. 20/02/2013 - With the bridal dress to the fair!
At campsite Ferienpark Wulfener Hals the offer of mobile homes with hotel character will be a high light from the season 2013 onwards. The new, innovative mobile homes will be exhibited at the fair “Reisen Camping 2013” between Feb. 27th and March 3rd 2013, booth B 27. The first five bridal couples turning up with their wedding outfit at the booth during the fair, can win a holiday in the low season 2013/2014 (Friday-Monday or Monday-Friday in the Romantik-Suite). Wulfener Hals offers two mobile homes in the heart of the Ferienpark within a separated area. The mobile homes are very similar to a hotel room. The guests enjoy bungalow flair with own terrace, small kitchen, dining area and bathroom. Daily cleaning and towel service can be booked, as well as breakfast buffet or half and full pension in the restaurant “Wulfener Hals”, which is close by. Between February 27th and March 3rd the fair Reise Camping will take place in Essen. As last year you will find LeadingCampings in the gallery, the large camping boulevard of this fair, at booth GA59. On February 27th and 28th the 2nd European camping congress will take place in the congress centre West of the fair ground. Here international trade visitors exchange views about important topics of the outdoor tourism. LeadingCampings is official partner of the congress for the European part.
06/02/2013 - Festivities for the 40th anniversary
Europacamping Nommerlayen celebrates its 40th anniversary with various activities. On October 9th 1973 the campsite was opened. Who visits the campsite during October, gets double LeadingCard points. The celebrations will take place between June 7th – 9th, on June 8th there will be a party with live music and culinary delicacies. At the arrival each guest gets an invitation to a raffle. 40 times a week for max. 5 persons will be raffled (not in accommodations to rent, valid during pre season and low season). 31/01/2013 - Dreiquellenbad with 5 ADAC stars
According to the new evaluation guidelines Kur- und Feriencamping Dreiqeullenbad is the only campsite in the Lower Bavaria spa triangle with 5 ADAC stars, the title ADAC BestCamping and the ADAC Camping Award 2013. 25/01/2013 - Playa Montroig awarded several times
Playa Montroig Camping Resort has received the award “Camping of the year” in January during the Vakantiebeurs Utrecht. This prize is based on the judgement of the readers of the magazine Kampeer & Caravan Kampionen (KCK), belonging to the Royal Touring Club of the Dutch ANWB. This club has 4,2 million members and is one of the largest touristic automobile organisations worldwide. One of the criteria leading to the readers' choice was “the special kindness and customer orientation and the always successful trial to exceed the expectations of the clientèle.” The extraordinary comfortable, spacious and extremely clean facilities fascinate even the most demanding campers. As if that weren't enough: during the fair CMT in Stuttgart the Euro Motorhome Club Germany honoured Playa Montroig as “Feel good campsite 2013”. The prize was handed over by EMHC president Rüdiger Zipper and EMHC vice president Dieter Steinacker with the attendance of numerous journalists. All German manufacturers of mobile homes and caravans are represented in the EMHC, such as Hymer, Dethleffs, Hobby, Fiat Group, Concorde Reisemobile as well as many specialist retailers, campsites and communities.

In 2012, Camping- und Ferienpark Havelberge was awarded as TOP-training company. Just before the end of the year the campsite was honoured for „exemplary
commitment to job training“ by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Neubrandenburg. The best apprentice for the profession of a 'business woman for tourism and leisure time' comes from the campsite Havelberge. 18/11/2012 - Croatian campsites awarded
Between Nov. 13th - 15th the 6th congress of the Croatian Camping Union took plase in Dubrovnik and awarded several campsites. The Leading members Camping Lanterna and Zaton Holiday Resort may be called „Best Campsite of Croatia „ in 2013, we congratulate cordially. On the picture Marinko Marinovic (left) from Zaton and Viktor Zuzic (right) from Lanterna are glad about the ultimate award. During the congress the Croatian vice minister for tourism, Oleg Valjalo, explained the ambitious masterplan of tourism for the country. The congress included numerous interesting workshops and lectures, inter alia one of the LeadingCampings about professional complaint management.
08/11/2012 - Award for Gitzenweiler Hof
On 5th of November Melanie Huml, Bavarian state secretary for environment and health, honoured exemplary campsites during the International Bavarian camping day in Bad Windsheim. The reason was the successful qualification of campsite enterprises for near-natural leisure activities. Campsite Gitzenweiler Hof is in the forefront. The first winners of the “Alan Rogers Awards”, which are much-noticed in English–language countries and in the Netherlands, have been nominated. The highly esteemed British camping guide that is published as well in Dutch nominates a handful of special campsites in different categories every year. 04/10/2012 - Autumn high lights at the Gitz
Around the Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof lots of bike rides are possible and the surrounding country can be discovered. The Gitz bike station will be open until Nov. 4th and you can get the event package “Joyful biking at Lake Constance and the Allgäu”. The touring map “Radel-Gitz” leads to the most interesting routes of the environment. On Oct. 6th the “Oktoberfest” will be celebrated and the “Gitz-King” of the Bavarian disciplines as sawing, nailing and mug lifting will be chosen. During the complete period of the autumn holidays (Oct. 12th – Nov. 4th ) the Gitz animation team with an eventful programme is on duty. On Oct. 6th it will be like in Bavaria at Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals. There are beer tent funs, Bavarian specialties such as veal sausages, knuckles and beef and pork loaf and of course the suitable music. The “Frechen Blechen” perform with folk music in the festively decorated party tent. Various activities, e.g. beer mug lifting, competitive sawing and trunk nailing take place. Europacamping Nommerlayen organises a photo competition where you can win terrific prizes. One just has to send in a holiday snap, which was taken at the campsite. Between Oct. 12th and 14th the yearly DIY-meeting for self-converted campervans will take place. At the ending of the season it’s getting really exciting one more time: approx. 1000 vehicles of all kind, such as converted motorbuses, furniture vans, former mail vans and self-restored caravans, will be represented. Additionally exhibitors for technique, tuning and equipment will be on the spot. On Saturday there will be a huge flee market and a various animation programme for the children. On Sept. 15th the Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals will perform the play “Reis und Ringelnatz”. The humorous play written by the brothers “Arlt” will be accompanied by a 5-course-menu. “Reis mit Ringelnatz” tries to quote Joachim Ringelnatz (poet and actor of the 19th century) – but that doesn’t seem to be that easy…. 06/09/2012 - Golden autumn at Alfsee Ferien- und Erholungspark
It’s never boring at Alfsee of course and there are lots of events in September and October. A various animation programme is planned for the autumn holiday. The high light is the Oktoberfest on Oct. 20th with live music of the “Gaudikracher” , apart from numerous events such as a scary party for kids, a clowns show and a lantern procession. It is and will be the world’s largest fair for caravans, campers and supply, which is open to the public: the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, that you still can visit until Sept. 2nd.. 29/08/2012 - Farmer’s autumn in the Salzburg area
Guests of the Woferlgut may look forward to many events within the context of the farmer’s autumn. Traditions, music and dance are in the centre of attention and provide the unique touch of Salzburg to all events. First of all farmer’s autumn means harvest time. You can watch how to distil rowan berries and how to convert apples to compote. And there are lots of celebrations! On September 1st , the large ceremonial driving down of cattle takes place from the mountain pastures into the valley in autumn. 23/08/2012 - Ice age has been started…
at the Südsee-Camp. Since a short time ago there is an ice-cream parlour at the Südsee-Camp, it was opened just in time to the “ice-cream season”. If you order just a scoop of strawberry ice-cream or an extraordinary sundae, it will be delicious anyway. Next to it a new, small playground has been built. On Aug. 23rd a special „Camping Lanterna Day“ will be celebrated at campsite Lanterna. From morning to night a various programme for the whole family takes place. 08/08/2012 - The new Erwin-Hymer Museum – a museum to join in
In the Swabian Bad Walchsee you can get entertaining information about history, presence and future of mobile travelling. Caravan entrepreneur Erwin Hymer has been successful in building a cheerfulness museum, not only representing not extraordinary caravans and funny cars. It is also informing about the beginning of mobile travelling and the most popular destinations such as the Alps or the Adria – very popular in the early 60ties. Alfsee Ferien- und Erholungspark has extended its offer for non-campers. Recently a hotel new building was opened; thereby the offer is enlarged to 47 rooms. The target group are elderly vacationers preferring more comfort. Very often the hotel guests are former campers of the Alfsee. Nevertheless groups and families like to use the hotel as well. 30/07/2012 - Big summer party on the lake
Also this year Südsee-Camp celebrates summer on the beach. On Saturday, 04.08.2012 different activities, delicious food and of course great music await the guests. The magnificent M.A.C. cover band, which performed already last year, creates the suitable musical setting. You should already reserve another event: between 07. and 10.08. children of the Südsee-Camp can get star of the circus ring. Circus Zippolino studies a programme with the children, that will be performed for guests, friends and relatives at the end. Due to the limited attendance an application is necessary. As the only campsite operator Haveltourist (Userin) was honoured as TOP-training company by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) of Neubrandenburg in June. This honour appreciates the efforts concerning staff training. Haveltourist runs 9 campsites, the biggest one is Camping- und Ferienpark Havelberge. Beside of pitches for caravans, camper and tents there is a big variety of cottages, mobile homes and caravans to rent. Camping Internacional La Marina observes the start of summer 2012 with lots of events. There are games and sports animation every day. Until now the high light was the “Fiesta Pirata” on the beach

25/06/2012 - New Theatre
Camping- und Bungalowpark De Papillon in the Netherlands has opened a new multipurpose building just in time for the season. There are comfortable sanitary fittings upstairs; a room for events is located in the basement. This one functions as room for the children’s animation during bad weather and as children’s disco Lollipo at night. The theatre has found its new place in the entrance of the basement; the young and adult guests can sit comfortably on rising banquettes and follow the events. At Gitzenweiler Hof you could drive rickshaw for a good cause. At summery temperatures and brightly sunshine Thomas Uffing chauffeured young and older guests for a donation around the elephant “Fany”. The proceeds of more than 300 “tickets” and 10% of the ice-cream selling of the Italian restaurant Pinocchio was rounded up to 500,-- € by the Gitz and presented to the children hospice in Bad Grönenbach. There are some highlights at the Wulfener Hals during the upcoming holidays in May: on May 17th the rock group Bandits performs hits from the last 4 decades in the show tent, a celebration for all those who love rock music. On Saturday, May 19th you can watch the final of the Champions League FC Bayern – FC Chelsea on three large screens. But there is a treat for all friends of rock music on this day as well: before and after the game the rock band Jim Button Plus will perform and cause entertainment. On May 5th the North German band California Cornflakes appears in the show tent of the campsite Wulfener Hals. The rocking music of the three musicians includes a successful mix of cover songs and self-composed songs. They gave more than 150 concerts within the last five years and appeared at open air events from St. Peter Ording and Fehmarn. Campsite Südsee-Camp has planned a various programme for the feast days in May. At the first May weekend the infamous ghost night walk, a tent party, a morning get-together and a flea market take place. 17/04/2012 - Fisherman’ houses at Hvidbjerg Strand
There is a new attraction in the quietest corner of the Danish picture-book campsite Hvidbjerg Strand in Blåvand (Western Jutland): 15 thatched holiday cottages were built around a little lake directly next to the fishing pond. According to the style of traditional fisherman’s houses they are partly constructed on piles over the water. The “Fiskerhuses” have a size of 35 qm and can accommodate up to 6 persons. Camping Internacional la Marina at the Costa Blanca has enlarged its area. At the additional part spacious bungalows type “Oasis” were built. These are meant for max. 5 persons and are equipped with 2 separate bed rooms. The complete furnished kitchens offer an electric ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, microwave with grill, coffee machine and dish washer. There is a 32 inch LED TV with USB connection for videos. Not only parents will be comfortable at the Woferlgut during the Easter holidays. The new Dutch LeadingCamping De Papillon in the Twente region (in the boarder area between Münsterland, Emsland and the Netherlands) can announce a very special addition to the staff: on February 17th a lamb has been born. It is a lamb of the Drenthesche Heath, that takes its task as children’s attraction very seriously! The picture shows the mother animal as well.
27/02/2012 - DCC European Award for Jambo and Sexten
On 24th of February the European Awards of the German Camping Club DCC were passed over during the fair “Reise & Camping” in Essen. DCC president Karl Zahlmann handed over two European Awards to LeadingCampings for extraordinary campsites. Essen’s mayor Flisch took part in the festive ceremony. Jambo Feriepark at the Jammerbucht in North Jutland and the CaravanPark Sexten in the Dolomites were honoured. The picture shows Karsten Egelund (Jambo) on the left side and Andreas Happacher (CaravanPark) with certificate, bouquet and trophy.

During the annual ADAC Camping Gala at Friday, January 13 the most respected European camping prize has been given to two LeadingCampings. ADAC Camping award went to Camping Hopfensee for the indoor playing facilities now covering any age group from toddlers to nearly adult teenagers. Union Lido Vacanze was awarded as campsite with the best rented accommodations during the festive ANWB-camping-gala at the Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht (NL). At the Dutch leading trade fair especially family friendly campsites were honoured as well. Erlebnis-Komfortcamping Aufenfeld in the Zillertal achieved one of four nominations altogether. 22/12/2011 - With a “swallow’s nest” across the Alps
The caravaner Valentin von Vocano got himself into an unique adventure: to hitchhike just with a caravan without a towing vehicle from Tessin to the CMT 2012 in Stuttgart. It’s not an early April fool hoax! As you know campers are a big family – everybody helps each other. The “away and there tour” of the holiday fair CMT in Stuttgart wants to proof this. The journey which is about 2.500 km long should be done within 4 weeks, in order to arrive at the CMT punctually on January 14th 2012. The Institute for Tourism Research at the University of Alicante has honoured William Le Metayer with the innovation award. Le Metayer is vice president of the Spanish camping association as well as president of the camping entrepreneurs of Alicante. At the board of LeadingCampings William Le Metayer is responsible for internet, social media and marketing. He runs the campsite International La Marina together with his mother and his brothers and sister.
05/10/2011 - Grand camper-meeting at Südsee-Camp
Between Oct.7th – 9th a special camper gathering takes place as every year at the Südsee-Camp. Half of the participating vehicles are self-built. The most diverse motor homes came together; there are re-built caravans, former mail vans or even furniture vans. Joint organisers are the magazines Reisemobil International and Camping, Cars & Caravans, they offer workshops and information events. One of the highlights is the huge flee market on Saturday. Family Hinel from Mannheim has won the 1. prize of the photo competition during the 50th caravan-salon Düsseldorf. The topic of the competition was “caravanning – each day another holiday”. 24/09/2011 - Meeting in autumn at the LeadingCampings
The owners of LeadingCampings held their meeting according to schedule in autumn between Sept. 19th and Sept. 21st at the Sportcamp Woferlgut in Austria. Important courses were set for the coming year: the budget was adopted and substantial campaigns decided, which will be financed with member fees. The focus was on the optimisation of the internet and on video marketing. The increase of LeadingCampings was discussed as well. In 2012 LeadingCampings will get a new campsite each, in France, Croatia and the Netherlands. Read more about it here soon and in the next newsletter for subscribers. 21/09/2011 - Important contribution to environment protection
The Alfsee Ferienpark in the Northern Osnabrücker land has taken into operation a communal heating at the beginning of the year. This is fuelled with biogas of a local biogas plant and therefore is eco-friendly. The campsite is not only characterized by eco-friendliness but also by family friendliness and its varied leisure programme. 14/09/2011 - Trip for the press starts at the Gitz
On Sept. 14th, 12 journalists of the daily press and trade press start with campers of six manufacturers to a trip to the Ticino. This canton in the Italian-speaking Switzerland is the partner region for the camping and caravanning area of the touristic fair in Stuttgart CMT (Jan. 14th – Jan. 22nd 2012). This tour, organised by the CMT, will end coming Sunday at the Gitzenweiler Hof. The CMT has been organising these yearly trips to an European / German Caravanning region since 2002. 08/09/2011 - Munich Beer Festival at the Gitz
Between Sept. 30th and Oct. 3rd the Munich Beer Festival will be celebrated with a varied programme at Gitzenweiler Hof. That includes a large number of activities for children as e.g. a carrousel and a little funfair of Vicky’s “Bunte Spielewelt”. There will be candyfloss and real Gitz Munich-Beer –Festival- pastry as well as properly beer mugs and chicken. 05/09/2011 - Caravan Salon with increasing amount of visitors
The anniversary of the world’s largest show for mobile leisure time ended with a record attendance of 179000 visitors on Sept. 4th 2011. These were almost 9000 visitors more than the year before. 62% of the guests had concrete purchase intentions. The interest in premium campers and caravans is unchanged. LeadingCampings could benefit from the new location, that lead to a substantial higher number of visitors. LeadingCampings delighted in a high profile; catalogues and rally folder were in great demand. Joachim Schäfer, manager of the fair Düsseldorf summarized as follows: “In view of the 50th anniversary the Caravan Salon experienced the best attendance since its existence”. The next Caravan Salon will take place from Aug. 24th until Sept. 2nd 2012.
29/08/2011 - 1st Rupertimeeting in early autumn
Strandcamping am See will organise the 1st Rupertitreffen between Sept. 22nd and 25th 2011. The Rupertiwinkel is named after the patron saint of Salzburg and describes the rural hinterland of the Mozart town. The Strandcamping am See would like to give its guests an understanding of the beauty of the Rupertiwinkel. The meeting includes hikes and visits as well as common meals, e.g. a barbecue. At the campsite Gitzenweiler Hof are lots of actions between Sept. 8th and Sept. 12th. Within the frame of the KUGA Tour meeting a varied programme will be offered. The programme includes a guided tour through the picturesque old town of Lindau, a panorama boat trip, the visit of the Dornier museum in Friedrichshafen (famous for zeppelin flights), a bike tour to the Weißenberger chapel and above all the best catering at the campsite. 19/08/2011 - At Salzburg region farmer’s autumn is starting
From August 27th onwards guests of the Sportcamp Woferlgut can get information about the customs of Salzburg in the site Bruck. 73 sites take part at the farmer’s autumn and the events include folk dance and performances of dancers of Schuhplattler. Locals and guests experience details of the customs. First of all farmer’s autum means harvest season. You can watch how to distil rowanberries and how to make compote from apples. At campsite Aufenfeld in the Zillertal Alps you can learn how to ride Iceland horses in August. Nicole offers professional horse-riding courses on Iceland horses for all horse lovers. Beside of horse riding you can learn something about horse caring and the body language of the animals. Finally equestrian games take place. From August 19th – 21st you can start on a journey into the epoch of the middle ages at the Gitzenweiler Hof. “Gitz anno 1380 – the campsite at the times of the knight Ulrich von Ebersberg” is one of the season highlights at the campsite. The visitors will feel be transferred into a time of myths and dragon legends, jesters, maids and brave followers. In July 2011 the Camping- und Ferienpark Havelberge at lake Woblitz received the quality label “Familienland M-V” (Familyland M-V) for the second time. 08/07/2011 - Classic cars at Klim Strand
Danish Veteran club Thy headed for a stopover to Klim Strand Camping in June. Camping guests could admire the exposition of some 25 historic vehicles. The cars and motorcycles dated back to the 1920ies. After the club members had enjoyed food and beverages in the campsite’s restaurant they started their vehicles and made a tour over the entire campsite before completing their outing on the narrow roads of Jammer bay. Coming long weekend will be much influenced by music at the Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals: on Thursday, June 2nd (Ascension Day) 8 p.m. the Countdown Showband will perform in the show tent. Top hits of Nena, Grönemeyer, ABBA, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams , KISS and AC/DC belong to the repertory of the band. On Saturday, June 4th, 8 p.m. the band MayQueen will play the biggest hits of the rock legend Queen. Another two concerts are presented by the animation team of the campsite: on June 3rd, 8.30 p.m. the rock musical “Mozart” will be performed, on Sunday, June 5th, 8.30 p.m. there will be a dancing show. 24/05/2011 - Ginormous bathing fun at the Gitz
The new children’s bathroom at the Gitzenweiler Hof will make all the kids’ hearts leap for joy. The washing in the morning is fun with mascot Fany, the “shower elefant”. The water comes out of its trunk and arms. The new adventure shower area is made out of polystyrene and was painted. There is a lot to discover while taking a shower: a forest, mountains and a lake. In June the Woferlgut will start the family event adventure golf for the first time in Austria. It’s similar to the “usual” golf, but stands out due to its special fun and excitement factor. During the fair „Reise & Camping“ in Essen the French LeadingCamping Les Alicourts Resort was awarded with the this year’s European Award in a common ceremonial act of the German Camping Club and the fair Essen. The mayor Rudolf Jelinek and the president of the German Camping Club Karl Zahlmann gave a speech. In his laudation Zahlmann emphasized the varied offers of the campsite in the Loire region, especially the water attractions. 14/02/2011 - Gottfried Thiele receives CTJ-milestone
Founder of Germany’s most popular family campsite Südsee-Camp, Gottfried Thiele, gets a high award during the fair “Reise & Camping” in Essen. Thiele is one of the presidents emeritus of LeadingCampings. Gottfried Thiele got the crazy idea, to build one of the best campsites of Europe in the middle of the Lueneburg Heath, already 40 years ago. Here the visionary from Berlin could realize his dream of an own campsite. Until today the campsite has enlarged fourfold, the holiday village Sommarby, rental caravans and mobile homes are completing the campsite. Not least Thiele was foundation member and pacemaker of the LeadingCampings of Europe and released essential pulses to the development of the camping business not only within Germany. Gottfried Thiele has rendered great services to camping and caravanning in Europe. For that reason he gets the milestone 2011. Gottfried Thiele will be awarded on the 23rd of February during the opening of the REISE CAMPING 2011. The CTJ-milestone is the award, which is given by the association of camping and touristic journalists for special merits for the promotion and development of caravanning, camping and tourism once a year.

In December 2010 Caravan Park Sexten has opened an outdoor area of its wellness facilities. A saltwater basin, enriched with natural bath salts (this supplies the skin with blood and supports the relaxation of the joints), belongs to it. Additionally there is a “soil-sauna”, the most originally form of the Finnish sauna. It’ s situated in the soil and has a fireplace (temperature up to 110 degree C). The campsites of the year 2011 have been elected. Leadingcampings have been on top in all categories during the festive prize giving ceremony of the CMT in Stuttgart: following the opinion of the “Caravaning” readers, whose vote counts, the Südsee-Camp is not only the most friendly and child-orientated campsite of Germany, but furthermore especially comfortable and the third-popular winter campsite. Campsite Hopfensee is considered to be Germany’s most comfortable campsite and in addition especially friendly, child-orientated and the second popular winter campsite of Germany. The Gitzenweiler Hof has been elected as the most eco-friendly campsite, child-friendly and popular as winter destination, as well. Luxoase, Wulfener Hals and Alfsee Ferienpark are ranking amongst the top 5 of each category. Caravan Park Sexten was elected as the most comfortable and best winter campsite within the remaining Europe, furthermore it’s especially eco-friendly and likeable. The latter applies as well to Hvidbjerg Strand (DK) and Camping Aufenfeld (A), which is also especially child- and eco-friendly and appropriate for winter camping. Currently a pavilion for the infants (0 – 6 years old) is being built at campsite Hopfensee. The opening will take place at Easter 2011. The new building doesn’t only offer a safe play area with marvellous panorama, but also a lounge for the parents. There will be a special recreation room for the teenagers. Europacamping Nommerlayen has been selected as recommended runner up of the Alan Rogers Award between 2000 campsites, which were all ranked by the Alan Rogers team. This was due to the outstanding qualities of the campsite.

Between Sept. 22th and 25th LeadingCampings came together for their annual autumn convention. The venue was Union Lido Vacanze at the gates of Venice. This LeadingCamping offers a congress centre with all modern technical facilities. The members agreed to a moderate growth of the group for 2011, voted for the budget and how to spend it and decided on the strategy for the further development of the website. From now on your comments and the user assessments of the campsites will be published. We want to become more transparent for you and invite you, to share your experiences with other guests. 16/09/2010 - LeadingCampings staff training
Once a year LeadingCampings run their own staff training. This year responsible co-workers from campsites in seven different nations working in receptions and guest management take part. The training is held from September 13 to 16 at Klim Strand Camping in Denmark. The lectures focuse especially on the maintenance of the new website and booking system. Furthermore the employees visit Klim Strand Camping as well as Hvidbjerg Strand Camping. The training aims to assure the high quaklity targets of LeadingCampings.

24/08/2010 - New attraction at Dreiquellenbad
W. Hartl?s cure- and holidaycamping Dreiquellenbad in Bavarian spa Bad Griesbach has got a new attraction: The guests? ?Tenne? has been constructed with valuable material like granite and old wood from an abandoned farmhouse. Seen from the road the building looks like a typical farm entry of the region. High respect for the detail can be experienced in the roofing, the big barn-like doors with taylormade fittings, the wrought-iron weathercock and the old wood carvings. Seen from the campsite the Tenne fits in with the Jagdhäusl restaurant to a matching ensemble. Also the inside follows the high class of Dreiquellenbad. It has been equipped with original furniture and details of an old genuine Bavarian inn, being comfy as well as flexible. Different us is intended. There may be festivities as well under typical rural decoration but the room will be used as well as a place for the enormous extended offer in animation and entertainment of Dreiquellenbad such as gym, yoga and meditation up to firness and dancing or music-, gaming- and varietè-performances. Thursday August 12, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.: International Varieté with André und Oliver Sarmenta André Sarmenta who is 2 times world champion of ventriloquists startet this art when he was a child and went to an English ventriloquist for education. After a more than ten years contract at Circus Giovanni Althoff he performed at former GDR National Circus and Circus Carl Althoff. André Sarmenta acted in front of international audience as well in Australia, Bulgaria, France (Moulin Rouge), Italy and the United States of America. Since years he performs on a regular schedule in various childrens? hospitals and works for charity events refunding children suffering from cancer. As ventriloquist he was rewarded amongst other prizes with the Golden Elephant and the Clown of Paris. When celebrating his 30 years? stage jubilee in 2001 audience and commission were taht entusiastic that they awarded him with the Golden Needle of Honor. In February 2003 he set up a new world record in fire spitting and produced a 4.5 metres high flame from a position laying flat on the floor. This was enough for an entry into the Guiness book of records 2003. Since his childhood Oliver Sarmenta dedicated his life to music, especially singing. He met André Sarmenta in a show in 1999 and he was entusiastic about this voice. So he proposed a shared performance in Austria. After a while André was convinced that Oliver was the right one to continue the Sarmenta name. Meanwhile they formed a strong team. Since January 2001 Oliver is a shareholder in the company. Besides his song performances - Musical Hits - Evergreens - Ballades - Pop-Classics - Oliver will present the Varieté night.
